Città della Pieve, an old village, rises at 509 meters above sea-level, overlooking the Valdichiana, on the borders running between Tuscany and Umbria.
It's circled by Monte Cetona, Montepulciano's hills and Trasi's hills.
Its very characteristics come from the old urban plan and its artistical and monumental heritage. Pietro Vannucci, called Il Perugino, was born here and most of his masterpieces as L'Adorazione dei Magi, Deposizione della Croce and Il Battesimo are preserved here too.
